Le Grand Marais: During the middle ages, monks carried
out major works to dyke up the banks of the estuary,
creating almost a thousand hectares of salt marshes filled with fish.
The "Grand Marais" shows this.

Since then bass and sea bream, eel and mullet are trapped and breed
as naturally as can be in the heart of the Guittière marsh.
During a guided tour of the Grand Marais, everything serves as a reminder of the
tradition and the know-how passed down from generation to generation
and which modelled this extraordinary landscape.
Fishing techniques, the ecology of the species bred, birds hunting and fishing…
One and a half hours of pure entertainment await!
